Ways to Donate to HSC
Donating to HSC is one of the best decisions you’ll make and we’ve made it easy for you to give in ways that suit your preferences.
Whether you want to leave a legacy gift, provide ongoing support for a specific scholarship program or make a one time donation to our Annual Fund, our Advancement Team is here to help you direct your donation to the area most meaningful to you.
HSC is registered as a charitable entity with Canada Revenue Agency, and is authorized to issue tax receipts to qualified donors. We will issue a tax receipt for all qualified donations in excess of $25 unless you request otherwise. Cheques can be made payable to Hillfield Strathallan College.
Our charitable registration number is BN11895 7810 RR0001.
Donors residing in the United States who wish to receive a U.S. tax receipt should forward gifts to Hillfield Strathallan College through FRISBE (Friends of Independent Schools and Better Education). Click here for more information on how to donate from the United States.

DONATE STOCKS AND/OR SECURITIES
Donating securities directly to Hillfield Strathallan College avoids the tax on capital gains and maximizes the return on your investment.
To make a gift of securities and/or stocks of share certificates, mutual fund units, or other publicly traded security to HSC, please contact the Advancement Office at (905) 389-1367, ext. 161 or advancement@hsc.on.ca.

If you are also considering a donation to the United Way workplace campaign, you can easily designate a portion, or all, of your donation to Hillfield Strathallan College. Simply include the following information on your United Way pledge form, supplied by your employer:

ESTABLISH AN ENDOWED FUND
By endowing your gift, you can make an investment that lasts forever and stands as a lasting tribute to friends or family, while providing essential support to our students. Scholarships and bursaries for our students, capital improvements and curriculum and program enhancements all rely on revenue generated through HSC’s Endowment. A named, endowed fund may be established through a gift of cash or securities of $25,000 or more, which may be pledged in installments over a period of up to five years.

Creating a legacy gift through your estate plan provides a wonderful way of utilizing your assets to realize your philanthropic goals. It can also eliminate significant taxes owed from your estate.
